Affiliation: Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, University of Milan
Description
I graduated in Agricultural Biotechnologies at the University of Milan, working on a thesis that focused on grapevine phytoplasmatic diseases. I continued my education by achieving a PhD in Biological Sciences and obtained a PhD in Agriculture, Environment and Bioenergy, beginning my study of interactions between plants and beneficial bacteria and how they can contribute to pathogen containment. As a researcher I continued to follow this research topic, studying microorganisms and molecules of natural origin that can act against plant pathogens, researching more in depth the interaction between plants and their associated bacterial communities, and developing also studies on phytosanitary diagnostic methods. The ultimate goal of my research activity is to contribute to a better plant health and more sustainable agriculture.
